There exists a love
That offers no amount of cheer or pleasure
To him that seeks the slightest joy in any whim
There exists a love
That won’t allow whatever pains or aching
To him that likes to suffer for sheer delight of grief
There exists a love
That cannot teach the lust from laps and loins
To him that claims to lie afloat above some bed of roses
There exists a love
That won’t revel in rants of romance pleasing
To him that’s only glad to seize a chance to woo in verses
There exists a love
That’s nothing like the care we owe and grant
To him that stands to be the best of friends or enemies
There exists a love
That comprehends the compassion and condolences unknown
To him that cries within impostures playing scenes of sorrow
There exists a love
That only someone like a saint and saviour shows
To him that cares to kneel and pray to keep himself at bay
There exists a love
That is beyond the realms and reach of such a poem, alien
To him that wants a reason worth a life in each refrain alone
